2299 Elizabeth Lake Road Story

2299 Elizabeth Lake Road is one of Waterford's historic restaurant addresses. It is strategically located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Elizabeth Lake Road and N Josephine Ave. Since the 1950s, several well-known restaurants have been located here, including Mr. Steak, Tug and White Castle. White Castle chain razed the old building and build the current property in 1992.

Across the street was Summit Palace, which was once the largest shopping mall in Michigan. After 2009, the Summit Palace closed its doors, causing the surrounding businesses to fall into trouble. White Castle went out of business in 2014, leaving the property idle for ten years. Lilian & John acquired the property in 2022 with the determination to restore the property to its former glory. They invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in renovations, from restoring water and electricity, to renovating the interior and exterior to transform the property into Michigan's first modern Drive Thru American-Chinese restaurant – Asian Yummy Station. This restaurant is a Drive Thru restaurant, which offers Drive Thru and Carry out order options, and there is no indoor service

Adhering to the business philosophy of "Super Yummy Super Fast", the restaurant employs experienced Asian chefs to provide the most delicious Chinese and other Asian cuisines, ensuring that every customer can eat delicious Asian cuisine in just three minutes by car from the moment they enter the restaurant Drive Thru Lane.

We will build the restaurant into a garden restaurant with Asian characteristics, and plan to add outdoor Canopy and Bench in the spring of 2025 to facilitate outdoor dining and relaxation for customers and the public.
